The Ambache Charitable Trust

Washington National league of American Pen Women, 1932

Site designed by Jeremy Polmear. Latest grants update: January 2017.

The Trust is active in raising the profile of women composers by funding people who promote their music to the widest possible circle.

It supports people giving concerts, making recordings, radio or television programmes, or publishing music and books in ways that significantly bring attention to this repertoire.

This could include composers like Amy Beach, Mary Carr Moor and Gena Branscombe from this 1932 photo of the Washington National League of American Pen Women. Please note our enthusiasm for historical women; we want music by female composers of the past to live in the present.

The Trust's purpose is to widen the circle of people hearing women's music, and to fuel interest in it.
